Brian Oliver: Founder and Managing Partner
Brian Oliver founded The Oliver Group more than a dozen years ago entering a then nascent electronic discovery market. Over the next decade, Brian led the development of an organization that applies strong technology skills, defensible processes, and a range of services and solutions to meet the demanding requirements of the electronic discovery market.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, Brian brings more than 20 years of technology experience to the team including an extensive forensic technology background. Prior to forming The Oliver Group, Brian held management positions at several high technology companies in the Northeast. Brian is regarded as an industry expert, and has developed several of the proprietary technologies used by the company and has taken a hands on role in managing both data restoration and data acquisition matters for some of the largest, and most highly publicized litigation cases of the last decade.
Over the past several years, Brian has taken the firm global with expansion to the European Union and the build out of a professional services staff that provides services to a global network of clients and channel partners including many of the largest corporations and law firms in the world.
Dean Felicetti: Partner
Joining The Oliver Group as a Partner in 2001, Dean Felicetti further extended the company’s electronic discovery expertise. With more than a decade of electronic discovery technology and business development experience, Dean has been integral in establishing The Oliver Group as a global market leader.
Dean held various technology and management positions early in his career before joining Ibis Consulting a start-up electronic discovery firm in 1996. As Chief Technology Officer at Ibis, Dean was responsible for all aspects of the technology build out and process development for what became an industry best, proprietary, electronic data discovery processing service bureau while setting company direction as a member of the executive management team.
Since joining The Oliver Group, Dean has applied an in-depth understanding of defensible processes and technologies to help TOG and our clients. With a primary focus on client relationships, Dean has consulted on hundreds of matters resulting in client success through best practice approaches. Dean has been instrumental in the growth of The Oliver Group’s strategic alliance program, and continues to develop new business opportunities and client relationships. A member of the senior management team, Dean is also a licensed private investigator.
Bill Walsh: Chief Operating Officer
Leveraging his success in senior management positions at several technology start-ups and his specific electronic discovery market expertise, Bill Walsh joined The Oliver Group in 2007 and serves as Chief Operating Officer. In this leadership capacity, Bill has implemented the structures and processes that position the company for continued growth.
Prior to joining The Oliver Group, Walsh spent six years with Ibis Consulting, a top tier provider of electronic discovery services where he served as Vice President, Business Development. In that capacity, Walsh was responsible for building the sales infrastructure, processes, and team that drove rapid growth in market share and revenue leading to the acquisition of the company by Pitney Bowes in 2006. At Ibis, Walsh consulted with clients on hundreds of successful electronic discovery matters. His leadership as a member of the executive management team was critical to client-driven process improvement across the entire organization.
As Chief Operating Officer, Bill leads all activities of the business and has refined and enhanced the company’s sales and logistical distribution processes. Under his leadership, the company has expanded its services portfolio, developed a more balanced client mix, and experienced profitable revenue growth.
John Rubens: Managing Director, Professional Services and Operations
John Rubens joined The Oliver Group as a member of the senior management team in 2005 with a focus on broadening the company services portfolio and strengthening service delivery. His leadership has resulted in both operational process improvement and the formal launch of TOG’s professional services offerings.
With extensive background in enterprise data management and systems development, John has been a senior leader at several technology start-ups. Prior to joining The Oliver Group, John served as Chief Information Officer of the Global Risk Exchange, an international platform for global risk and insurance technology. He has also served as a Managing Partner at Senjiva, LLC a consulting organization that optimizes organizations by improving core business processes and mission critical technologies.
As the Managing Director of Professional Services and Operations, John has built a professional services team that provides expert data acquisition and forensics services and a range of early stage electronic discovery solutions to a global client base. His oversight of both internal operations group and field services professionals has allowed the company to seamlessly manage complex matters. John was responsible for the formal launch of the company’s Archaeo professional services division in early 2009.
